I moved away for six months and my sister watched my red tail boa for me and did not handle her now she is hissing and striking every time I open the cage any suggestions on how to tame her again?

Ché Kinnard said… I wish I could see how big your aggressive snake is. Please post some pictures. You can re-tame it. Just expect that it take some time and you will have to be patient. Place a t-shirt that you worn all day inside the cage and leave it. This will help the snake become use to your scent again. Slowly just start petting it inside the enclosure as much as it will let you. If it is small enough, after some time, pick it up controlling the head for a very short time a couple of times a week. Each week hold it a little longer until you have it tamed again.
