I have a female that is quite similar to you hypo. She is a Hogg Island cross. She has a bit of an attitude but I love her just the same. As a matter of fact she is curled up around my feet right now. My Josephine has two strange stripes up both sides of her body. Her saddles are very small. She is the only one in my collection that has Hogg island in her. I normally only deal with my columbians. I saw your little boy and thought that he looked a lot like Josie. josephine.jpgHe is a beautiful little boy. Here is a picture of her.
Ok i got a question now i deal with just hypo columian red tails but this lil guy here was offered to me and i took him in. He is very light in color and the saddles are very small and on the tail on the sides it is just a strip all the red is connected and it is alot darker can anyone help me figure out exactly what he is!?!

Comment by carrie zagyi on October 27, 2012 at 9:02pm One of my little BCI's threw up her last meal. My daughter took it upon herself to feed her with out my. This little bottomless pit had 3 large pinky rats in her. It surprised me. I had came home to feed her and it looked like she was going to explode. I am going to let her go for the next 5 days before I offer her food again. I had to put a pad lock on her cage to prevent this from happening again. She looked so very uncomfortable. Now she is hiding in her hide box and really doesn't look like she wants to be bothered.
Comment by Nicdog on October 15, 2012 at 4:50pm Me. I used to do the columbians bci's but I'm exclusively N. Brazilian, Suris' and Gyana's... I'll comment where I can..
Comment by carrie zagyi on October 3, 2012 at 2:21pm Let swelcome to the world 26 new little boas. I recently rescued the most beautiful motely from going to the humane society where she surely would have been put to sleep. Since my husband fears reptiles she was being housed at a friends house. We were told she was only 4 and not ready to breed. OOps. She was ready. while we were preparing her enclosure she was housed for just a few days with his male snow boa. We have babies. I have not managed to find the time to drive over to see them yet. I got the call just about an hour ago. I can't wait to see them.
Comment by Ashley Holder on September 14, 2012 at 5:17pm Also did you quarantine the new snake before placing him in the enclosure with your male? I keep mine in quarantine for a month before they can can come into contact with any of my other snakes. And that is after they have passed a fecal test too. There are many illness that can be passed (through contact, airborne, or internal contact/biting, etc.)
Comment by Ashley Holder on September 14, 2012 at 10:55am No Problem:) Just make sure they both have enough room and their own hide to reduce stress. I got a male and female red tail that were being housed together when I got them and they would stay in the same hide and it was so cute to see both heads sticking out. They are alot more active in their tanks now that they have ben seperated.
